Setting off from Pike Hill, walk around Rowley Lake, then follow road to Queens Park. Walk through Park, cross over to Thompsons Park.
Pass boating Lake to Italian garden. (Possible stop for a short lunch break).
Leave Park and cross over to Thursby Gardens. Follow track by railway then onto canal bank. Head into town centre along straight mile.
Walk ends at Burnley bus station and is around 5 miles in length.
There are no significant hills. The paths are good and will be fairly easy walking no matter what the weather is like.
Return to Todmorden/Hebden Bridge etc by 592 bus from Platform 6 at Burnley Bus Station at 13:10, 13:43,14:13, 14:43,

It would be helpful if you will let me know in advance (at firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan to join the walk, so that I can give Shelia a rough idea of numbers. However, last minute decision makers will also be welcome to join us, as usual.
