We are delighted to invite you to our Heritage Day at Todmorden Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday 12th September, from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Join us for a fascinating day celebrating the rich history of the Hippodrome. Discover rarely seen photographs, programmes, posters, costumes, memorabilia and archive treasures that tell the story of our much-loved community theatre from 1908 to the present day.

As part of the day, you will also have the opportunity to view the new extension, created through our Raise the Roof project. This exciting development has enhanced the theatre for future generations and includes our new archive space, helping us preserve and share the Hippodrome’s unique heritage with the wider community.

Whether you have a long connection with the Hippodrome or are simply interested in local history, there will be plenty to explore. Volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to share stories, answer questions and explain how we are caring for the theatre’s remarkable collections.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. We would be delighted if you could join us to celebrate the Hippodrome’s past, present and future.
