This is a new group. Pickleball is a tennis-like game played with solid bats and hollow balls, on a court the same size as a badminton court.
At our initial session, were joined by Tony Jenkins, who set up a Pickleball group in Mytholmroyd after playing the game in the USA. We're grateful to him. We're all very much beginners at the moment.
The venue seemed well-organised for supporting this sport with the court curtained off from the rest of the gym.
The group has its own set of paddles and balls, so you just need to bring appropriate footwear. The gym is not well heated, so you may find yourself playing with more layers than you would expect.
