You are warmly invited to a meeting to help set up one or more new u3a special interest groups on a musical theme. This should particularly interest those who ticked one of the following indicative group titles in our recent survey:

• Vinyl Club
• Classical Music Appreciation
• Playing an instrument

As a separate initiative, Michael Astrop is establishing a bi-monthly disco session, which we hope will cater to those who ticked 'Dancing to popular music'.

At the meeting, I hope we will explore how (and how many) music groups will run, and who will do the organising. If new groups anticipate the need for any special equipment (e.g. a vinyl turntable?) they are encouraged to request funding from the committees reserves.
