Our next walk will be held on Tuesday 30th April and will be led by Jerome Way. A brief outline of Jereome's walk follows, although the exact route will be decided nearer the time (subject to the weather, conditions under foot and a further reconnaissance).
Take the 10:22am 592 bus from Todmorden towards Halifax (10:37am from Hebden Bridge) and alight at the Dusty Miller in Mytholmroyd at around 10:43am (first stop after the Asda garage). There is car parking on the left just after the war memorial, by The Blue Teapot café.
Meet at the war memorial in Mytholmroyd, opposite the Cragg Vale road and next to The Dusty Miller, between 10:45 and 11:00am for a walk that is basically a circuit starting and finishing in Mytholmroyd.
Jerome's current plan is to head up the side of the valley in the Midgley direction to Height Road, then along to Midgley, and from there up to Scotland (not that far!) and onto a part of the Calderdale Way. Then a bit of a contour walk along Luddenden Dean to Catherine House, followed by a steep climb up to Midgley Moor and across to the Churn Milk Joan stone, From there downhill back towards Midgley, past the Pinfold and down the road to Mytholmroyd.
