This training session is primarily intended for Convenors and Committee members who have been providing content for the previous Website, or using Beacon to advertise Group events.
Please note that you should bring your own laptop to the session, where we expect to have a good WiFi signal.
The session will cover logging in, and the use of the WordPress 'Block Editor' for all kinds of website content, as well as how to carry out the following tasks on the Website:
- Add details of a single Calendar event
- Upload a .csv file (spreadsheet) of Calendar events
- Add a Notice or other Post to the website
- Upload images and pdf documents to the Image Library
- Make changes to an existing Group page, e.g. add or substitute an image; add media elements such as Media+Text block, slider; rearrange the design of the page.
