The committee is looking into the feasibility of arranging a group visit to the Bayeux Tapestry while it is on loan to the British Museum.
Group visits can be booked for up to 30 participants, although groups of over 15 will be divided between two time slots. Up to 6 groups can be booked by the same organisation, although at different times. Booking for dates in 2027 will open later this year.
Tickets cost £33. There are no reductions based on age, but disabled visitors pay £25 including their carer and this requires booking. Museum members qualify for 2 free visits and have access to priority booking, and National Art Card holders pay £16.50.
If you would like to participate in a u3a-organised trip to visit the Bayeux Tapestry, please complete the form below to allow us to assess whether there is sufficient demand to make it worthwhile organising a trip. We have no idea what dates we could access at present, but the exhibition lasts until July 2027.
