We play mostly "modern" board-games, such as Ticket to Ride (building train lines across 19th century Europe), Splendor (collecting jewels and attracting patrons to score points), Azul (assembling tile-patterns), CuBirds (collecting cards to form "flocks" of different bird species), Qwirkle (a dominoes-type game matching patterns and colours) and many others. Most games are competitive, but distinctly un-aggresive. We enjoy each other's good play and good luck. Some games are "cooperative" (such as Pandemic), where the players combine to achieve a certain goal within a deadline. We are always interested in new players and in new games. The learning of new rules and the exercise of adapting our mind-sets to the very different approaches needed for each game hopefuly is doing our synapses a world of good. Why not come and join us?
