One of the main benefits of joining the u3a is the opportunity to participate in our special Interest Groups. We have a wide variety of interest groups running very successfully – you can use the list on this page to find out more about each one.

To find out more about their activities, you can also look at the recent Monthly Groups Reports.

Prospective members are invited to a taster session of either one of our groups or one of our monthly meetings. After that, you must be a u3a member in order to take part in our interest group activities. This is essential to ensure that your participation in our activities is covered by the u3a’s insurance.

If you would like to join an Interest Group please contact the relevant Group Convenor whose details you will find on each group’s page.

Don't see the group you want?

You may be able to join a group we don't have in Todmorden u3a at a neighbouring u3a, such as Littleborough, where we have a reciprocal membership agreement.

Alternatively, if you have an idea for a new group that you think would appeal to a number of members, please get in touch with the groups coordinator.

TLCCH-Pex Tenements

  • Enjoyment of wine group

    The group meets twice a month, online on the first Saturday in the month at 7pm and at Tod College on the 3rd Friday in the month at 1pm. Both meetings are nominally 2 hours duration. Costs are bring your own wine to the theme set at the previous meeting plus room hire charge for Tod College. There is occasionally a shared fee for our visiting expert. All members costs depend on the number attending and are shared equally. They are typically around £3 per person for room hire and £5 per person for the expert. The group is small and has space for new members but the current size means that we often have to cancel or reschedule meetings.
